Why Tanzania’s Adventures Will Leave You Speechless
Is it really necessary to advertise Tanzania? Nevertheless, I was overwhelmed and excited by this amazing country.

We mainly stayed around Moshi, at the foot of Kilimanjaro. We visited Materu, a picturesque village on a hill. The ride to that village was steep and exciting, perfect for nature lovers. The hike from the village to the waterfalls was peaceful and pleasant, allowing us to soak in the beauty of nature and prepare our soul for the cascade.
The Materuni Waterfalls are stunning and cascade down an 80-meter drop, creating a breathtaking sight and pleasant shower experience. Not to forget the full-on coffee making experience, from roasting to grounding… and tasting of course.
On our way to the Kikuletwa Hot Springs, between Arusha and Moshi, we witnessed some of the contrasts of Tanzania – old and new, wealthy and poor, Muslim and Christian. The beautiful oasis offers the most beautiful crystal-clear waters surrounded by lush vegetation, creating a perfect spot for relaxation and adventure… among the monkeys. We enjoyed swimming, rope swings, tire tubing, and even some high jumps from the trees. We even got pedicure when tiny fishes took great pleasure in eating some dead skin off our feet.
Our guide Albert arranged a two-days safari to Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We leaned back and enjoyed this experience. No need to comment on the stunning landscapes, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Thanks to Albert’s experience and professionalism, we were able to spot four of the big five the first day. We were happy and satisfied with Tarangire, but Ngorongoro blew us away. Albert insisted on us waking up early to see the sun rise om the rim of the crater. Boy, he was right! I still have goose bumps when I remember that morning. It was amazing to see the clouds lift and the crater reveal itself. So large, so peaceful, so unexpected! And yes, we saw them all -elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos, as well as a variety of other animals, including zebras, wildebeests, and flamingos. Even hyenas looked “gorgeous”. The memories from this trip are still alive, not only because of what we saw, but also the smells, the stories, and the great insights about Tanzania that our guide Albert shared with us.
