Our group of eight, aged 10 to 48, spent Easter 2025 in Kenya but also ventured into Tanzania for the first time, with five days including travel. With help from ValueExplora, we crafted a perfect itinerary to make the most of our limited time, focusing on experiencing Tanzania’s essence through a safari and more. As first-time visitors, we appreciated their assistance with transport, tips on where to buy food, and other essentials. We stayed at the ValueExplora residence, warmly welcomed by their local team.
Our safari to Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, led by the fantastic guide Albert, was a highlight. His humor, knowledge, and friendliness made the experience unforgettable. He showed us elephants, rhinos, hippos, hyenas, gazelles, zebras, pelicans, and ten lions—both male and female. Things got thrilling when Albert asked us to be completely silent twice, unsure if an elephant nearby had mischief in mind. Keeping five teenagers quiet was a challenge, but we managed, capturing stunning photos and videos. The safari was a spectacular adventure for all ages.
The next day, we hiked about 40 minutes to a magnificent waterfall—a refreshing change after two days on safari. We also visited a coffee plantation, learning the traditional process from bean to cup, which was engaging and fun. On our way back, we visited a village family, a truly unique experience.
